There is a synergistic effect of the 2 ingredients for the treatment of bacterial infections, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius.11
Malaseb is labeled as an aid in the treatment and control of dermatophytosis (ringworm) infections caused by Microsporum canis, in conjunction with systemic antifungal therapy. All in-contact cats should be treated with this shampoo to limit infection spreading and environmental contamination.
